About Us

Over a year ago, we had the idea of getting our boys involved in making a game, in hopes of cultivating the process of creative thinking and decreasing their dependency on electronics. My wife (Mihaela), two sons (Gabriel 11, and Oliver 9) and I (Garrett) have always loved playing various tabletop games.  We all love building games and I specifically enjoy a game with a lot of possibilities. Both of our sons enjoy math and naturally I do too, because I'm a mechanical engineer. 

We started writing numbers on blank playing cards and as we started playtesting, we realized that we had created a fun math-based game.  We knew we had something great at its core, but thought how can we make it even more attractive?  What if the numbers were shaped like Monsters? This is where my brother (Chad), and his artistic gift came into the picture, literally. Chad transformed our generic card numbers into fun monsters that naturally retained the shape of their respective number.  These animated monsters came to life and ignited a sense of imagination, luring us into their world, the Deadly Arena.

Upon completion of the captivating cards, the name Monsters Outnumbered just seemed to fit the objective of the game.  During months of rigorous play-testing with family and friends, everyone agreed that the game should be published due to its unique appeal.  Its gameplay is truly dynamic in the sense that each game has a multitude of options, where strategies are constantly evolving. The core mechanic of the game isn’t sacrificed due to the illustration but instead, the illustration is crafted into the core mechanic.  In addition, hidden behind the facade of the battling monsters, the game is fundamentally driven by math, which unbeknownst to the players, strengthens their numeracy skills.

Inspired by this journey of creating Monsters Outnumbered, 3G Games LLC was created.  Our mission is to produce games that are not only fun and exciting but are also educational with varying levels of complexity.  Our dream is to see Monsters Outnumbered on the shelves of significant box stores, schools, libraries, summer camps/daycares, etc. across the world. For this to become a reality, 3G Games needs your help.
